I have attended many training courses over the years and I am committed to keeping abreast of relevant training in the future. I have excellent testimonials and comments from parents who have used my service. I have comprehensive plans, policies and procedures which I follow covering all aspects of my setting, including: Equal Opportunities, Positive Behaviour Management, Child Protection and Health & Safety. Copies of these documents are given to parents, providing important information and peace of mind.
I understand how difficult it can be for parents to return to work. I fully appreciate the enormous responsibility involved when caring for someone’s child, and the huge amount of faith that parents will need to have in me. Parents are central to their child’s life and the ones making decisions on their behalf. I always do my best to be supportive and involve parents; to re-assure them and instil confidence; to meet their wishes and their child’s needs, working together for the benefit of their child.
Sharing information is made a high priority, allowing parents vital involvement in their child’s day and providing continuity of their child’s care. I compile a photographic and written record of the time a child spends with me, using “Birth to Three Matters” guidance. This is presented as a keepsake when the child leaves my care.
